Blood Tests
We offer blood test appointments throughout the morning - if you require an afternoon test we may ask you to deliver it to the lab.
Some blood tests including for cholesterol require you to have fasted from midnight the night before. You can have a glass of water and your usual medications. If you are unsure if you need to fast please ask your GP.
Blood tests at Health Plus
Whether it’s a test one of our doctors has recommended or simply something you’d like peace of mind about, we can take your blood here at the surgery — quickly, comfortably, and at a time that suits you. There’s no hospital appointment and no long wait: book online or give us a call, and our team will take care of the rest.
If you’re feeling well and would like a general check, we offer a range of well-person screens you can book directly.
But if you’re feeling unwell, it’s best to see one of our doctors first — a short consultation means we can choose exactly the right tests for you, rather than guessing.
Most results come back within a few days, and in most cases we’ll ask you to book a brief follow-up so a doctor can talk them through with you properly — unless your GP has already agreed to send your results straight to you.
