Minor Ops

Minor skin procedures carried out at the practice by our GP's trained in surgical techniques.

Overview

Dr Richard Worth and Dr Philippa Le Gresley carry out minor operations at the practice, including punch biopsies and the removal of moles, warts, skin tags and other lumps and bumps.

Minor surgery appointments are longer than a standard consultation, so the procedure can be carried out professionally and safely.

Single use instruments

Our doctors use disposable instruments for every minor operation, so nothing is ever reused between patients.

    Alongside general medical care we offer chronic disease care, screening, contraception and antenatal checks, minor surgery, vaccinations, investigations such as ECGs and blood tests, and a full range of medicals.

    Screening

    • Well person medicals, including cervical screening from age 25
    • Diabetic screening
    • Breast screening between 50 and 65, and by opt-in after 65 in some circumstances
    • Bowel cancer screening in your 60th year

    Women and children

    • Contraception of every type. Only certain doctors fit intrauterine devices (coils) and subdermal implants, so please speak to your usual doctor
    • Cervical smears from age 25
    • Antenatal checks, shared with the on-site community midwives and hospital staff
    • Postnatal checks
    • Childhood vaccinations and immunisations, at no charge to the patient

    Minor surgery

    • Removal of skin tags, warts, lumps and bumps
    • Joint injections
    • Cryosurgery, treatment with liquid nitrogen

    Vaccinations

    Influenza, pneumonia, RSV, Covid and shingles vaccinations, plus bespoke travel advice and vaccination in our on-site MASTA approved travel clinic.
